Organisational Resilience and Assurance Lead

With over 20 years in technical and security roles across the public and private sectors, Chris is able to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to his clients. He works hard to understand his clients’ specific requirements and operating context so he can provide pragmatic and innovative protective security advice and solutions. His background in science underpins the methodical and analytical approach to his work.

As a security consultant, Chris has provided protective security assessments and advice across a wide variety of clients and environments – including site security risk assessments and physical security certification for the public sector, strategic security reviews for multi-billion dollar utility providers, and security investigations in the justice sector.

Prior to joining ICARAS, Chris had a variety of roles in the public service, including within the defence and national security arenas. His experience ranged from science and technology research and development through to security assessments of secure facilities, and everything in between.

Throughout his career, Chris has managed the full spectrum of protective security, including physical security of assets and people, security of sensitive and classified information, and personnel security.

Chris has an MSc in Physics from Waikato University and is a member of ASIS International and the International CPTED Association. He holds a Security Consultant endorsement from the Ministry of Justice Private Security Personal Licencing Authority (PSPLA).
