The start of 2022 saw continued growth for ICARAS, with the addition of the exceptionally talented Jamie and Paul to the team, adding over 50 years cumulative security experience to our pool of consultants. We also saw the launch of our new website and regular blogs in the first half of the year – one of which was recently picked up by the New Zealand Security Magazine and published in their Dec/Jan issue. 

While the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have continued to introduce uncertainty, it has been good to begin to return to some level of normality. Unfortunately, many organisations and businesses are experiencing significant staff resourcing issues, and it is important that protective security risk assessments and mitigations don’t fall behind. 

And for those who deal with Government information – which is most of us – understanding the new classification system guidance released by the PSR team this year will give us some light reading over the summer. 

Along with our valued long-term partners, we have been delighted to welcome new clients this year from across the spectrum of public service and the private sector.
