Jamie Williams leads the Security Risk Management and Strategic Advisory practice at ICARAS, specialising in physical security for complex, high-risk environments. With over 15 years of experience across defence, government, and critical infrastructure, he provides expert guidance to organisations seeking to strengthen their physical security posture through clear, risk-aligned strategies.

Jamie’s approach goes beyond technical compliance. He supports decision-makers in navigating security challenges with clarity—ensuring that every recommendation is practical, defensible, and aligned with business objectives. His work is grounded in robust risk assessment, PSR assurance, and the design and review of electronic security systems, all delivered through the lens of operational context, organisational culture, and real-world application.

Known for simplifying complexity, Jamie empowers leaders to make smarter, more confident decisions around people and asset protection. He brings a people-centred perspective to security—prioritising cultural alignment, behaviour change, and proactive planning.

Before joining ICARAS, Jamie served as Principal Security Advisor at the Trentham Defence Area and spent over a decade in the New Zealand Defence Force. His background in operational leadership and elite sport adds depth to his strategic, performance-driven approach to security.
