Whilst 3rd party providers are an essential part of many organisations workforce and service delivery structure it is recognised that they are also a key area of risk. The health and Safety at Work Act 2015 does not allow an organisation to export its responsibilities to a 3rd party nor does the Protective Security Requirements. It is vital that an organisation gains assurance that its policies, procedures and contracted requirements are being met by its providers.
Some locations and people can be identified as being at high risk, for example a staff member being threatened by a customer.
